Chiropractic treatments can benefit people of all ages and backgrounds

What’s a chiropractor?

Chiropractic is a health treatment specialising in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that are due to problems with the joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves, especially related to the spine. For more information visit the British Chiropractic association

Who can benefit?

Chiropractic treatments can benefit people of all ages and backgrounds. If you have musculoskeletal issues (e.g. problems with the joints, bones and muscles), particularly back pain then you could benefit from seeing a chiropractor.

What chiropractors treat?

  • Prevention of migraines
  • Headaches arising from the neck (cervicogenic)
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Shoulder pain arising from the back or neck
  • Elbow pain arising from the back or neck
  • Tennis elbow arising from the back and neck
  • Tension and an inability to relax

Why choose an Epione chiropractor?

We believe in spending more time with our client to ensure we can offer the best possible care. We also try and create a relaxing environment where we can get know you and treat you in the most effective way. Epione’s chiropractor Lianne Griffiths has been practicing chiropractic in the Solihull and West Midlands area for over 10 years.

At Epione we certainly believe that maintenance is good prevention, but don’t believe this should be at the compromise of quality care. Epione’s treatments are a social time and although it’s good to see you we will not demand you come back more often than is necessary.

Chiropractic care is covered by most insurance companies such as BUPA,  Aviva etc.

Please check with your insurance company to see whether you are covered.

All insurance payments that are invoiced through ourselves incur a 10% administrative charge

What’s involved?

1. The consultation

This is our opportunity to get to know you. It’s not just about establishing what is the problem we need to treat, it’s about finding what was causing the issue and if there are things outside the clinic that can help in preventing the problem recurring. Our focus as a clinic is about getting you back 2 active. This might be playing for your local rugby team or enjoying the gardening at the weekend. We need to find this out to know what to aim for and how long it will take us to achieve it.

  • Initial consultation £70

Our consultation usually lasts about 1 hour

2. Treatment

An adjustment is an unusual sensation but it is necessary to bring relief the area being treated. Areas with restricted movement are corrected with chiropractic manipulation (adjustment.) Manipulation is accompanied by massage, stretching and mobilization techniques. Over time treatment corrects muscular imbalances and reduces irritation and inflammation. The overall result is a reduction in pain and an improvement in joint movement and function. Exercises may also be provided to help maintain recovery and prevent reoccurrences.

Our treatment usually lasts about 20mins

  • Follow up visits £35
  • Referral for private MRI scan from £220 per area

3. Maintenance

Prevention is the best cure. By providing ongoing treatment we can prevent some acute trauma before it happens. We don’t believe in compulsory maintenance and each maintenance programme should be looked at on a “case by case” basis to suit the needs of each clients personal circumstances.
